Inventory audits document all hardware and software on your LAN.
This audit should be performed when you receive the equipment.
The following hardware information should be collected:
- Serial number
- Type of device
- Special features or included components
- Device settings
- Name of person responsible for device, if available
The following software information should be collected:
- Type of software
- Number of users allowed (licenses)
- Operating requirements
