Inventory Audits

• Inventory audits document all hardware and software on your LAN.

• This audit should be performed when you receive the equipment.

• The following hardware information should be collected:

  • Serial number
  • Type of device
  • Special features or included components
  • Device settings
  • Name of person responsible for device, if available

• The following software information should be collected:

  • Type of software
  • Number of users allowed (licenses)
  • Operating requirements
