Learning to Subnet Continued
The listed numbers will be the subnet identifiers except the last one – 224. It can’t be used because it is the mask.
The 6 usable numbers will be the last octets of your IP addresses and each one will represent a subnet.
If you write these numbers out in binary you will see that the host portions (last five binary digits) are all zero.
Next, you must determine the valid ranges for your hosts on each subnet. Use the range of numbers between each subnet identifier.
Remember to remove the broadcast address for each subnet from the list of valid ranges.
