The Broadcast Address
Each subnet has a broadcast address and it is the last number in the range before the start of each new subnet.
The last number is equivalent to placing all ones in the host portion of the IP address.
The table on the next slide illustrates the subnet identifiers, valid host ranges, and broadcast address for each subnet in this example.
Subnet calculators can make subnetting much easier, however, they cannot be used on the CCNA exam. Subnet calculators are available on the Internet.
