  Sales KnowledgeSite Lite increases sales effectiveness by creating an online encyclopedia of all the sales and marketing tools that a sales force needs to attract and win new customers. Information from diverse groups is archived under five headings, each corresponding to a key step in the sales process: Generating Leads, Proposal Efforts, Delivering Value, Closing the Sale and Customer Feedback. A Competitive Information section can link to competitors' Web sites and other hot links. Searches include file descriptions, filenames, reference to a sales cycle phase, or interest groups. Customizable user profiles ensure security by determining document access.

Files can take any electronic form - from databases to traditional desktop applications and more. These might include presentations, literature, success stories, competitive briefs, internal bulletins, price lists, model contracts, policies, and more. To ensure the information's accuracy, documents can have activation and expiration dates, and owner names.

  • Each database file is accessible only to users whose profile is associated with a particular interest group, thus increasing user productivity and security.
  • A modified version of Netscape's LivePayment is used for log-in security.

    The Phase area of Sales KnowledgeSite Lite organizes information by the stages within the sales process life cycle. Each stage has links to HTML files or standard spreadsheets and word processing documents. Information is kept up-to-date by assigning beginning and ending effective dates.
