- Why a Macintosh?
- I chose a Apple Macintosh system, because I feel they are the best machines out there. I do use Win95 machines, as well as UNIX machines, but I feel that the Mac is the best there is. Personal preference really.
- Aren't Macs dead?
- If you believe everything you hear. The Mac has about 6% market share in the computer industry. What does that mean? Nothing in my eyes. Honda cars, which are really popular, own 5% of the market. Market share should not be a consideration on who is dead or not.
- There is no software?
- The Mac community, which I am a part of, does most purchasing of software/hardware via mail order. If a person looks at a MacMall, MacZone, etc. catalog, software can be found. Also, by visiting www.macsoftware.apple.com, a person can find all kinds of things for the Mac.
- WindowsNT is taking over the server role. Why go with a Mac?
- Wrong! Here is the breakdown of platforms that are used as Web Servers:
- UNIX - 1
- MacOS - 2
- WindowsNT/95 - 3
- Others - 4
