Currently an Assistant Professor of Music at New Mexico Highlands University, I am the Director of Instrumental Music. Besides teaching classes in Music Theory, Music Education, special topics in Ethnomusicology and Folk Music, I also direct the Mariachi "Vaqueros de la Sierra," the Latin Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra, the Concert Band and the Pep Band. In addition, I teach courses for the Anthropology Department.
