Labeling per UL
Label cabling three times, with markings two feet apart on each end using an indelible marker or reinforced adhesive labels.
Appropriate labels for cabling specify the exact location where the cable is physically terminated; do not use labels that are likely to change.
Installers typically run additional cable, called service cable, and coil it up inside the wall just in case the network changes.
Do not cut the cable from the spool until you have reached your destination and have some service cable left over.
