ARCnet (Token Bus 802.4)
The token bus specification established by the IEEE in 802.4 is largely unused today.
The specification called for a physical bus layout that implemented a token-passing access method.
As previously discussed, in a bus network, all stations connect to the same network wire.
An ARCNet network typically operates at 2.5 Mbps over coaxial, UTP, STP, or fiber optic cable and is rarely implemented in today's modern networks.
