EIA/TIA Continued
The EIA/TIA-568 standard defines and describes operational parameters for various grades of unshielded twisted-pair cabling. Additions to the EIA/TIA-568 standard were released in EIA/TIA-568B.
The EIA/TIA-569 standard describes various network media configurations, such as those for horizontal pathways, entrance facilities, wiring closets, equipment rooms, and workstations.
When used together, EIA/TIA-568B and EIA/TIA-569 define how configurations should look, how long the cables should be, and how to connect and route the cables.
