STP
STP is similar to UTP in that the wire pairs are twisted around each other inside the cable.
STP also has shielding around the cable to further protect it from external interference.
The shielding of the individual pairs of wires further reduces the chance of crosstalk.
Shielding the individual wire pairs increases the overall diameter and weight of the cable.
The maximum segment length of STP cable is 100 meters.
