RJ-45 Connectors
Twisted-pair wiring is fitted with a plastic connector and inserted into a wall connector.
These connectors are known as Registered Jacks (RJ). Typically, RJ-45 connectors connect UTP networks.
The RJ-45 connectors look much like the typical RJ-11 connectors that connect your phone to the wall.
The difference between the RJ-45 connectors and the RJ-11 connectors is that the former has 8 wire traces (4-pair) and the latter has only 4 (2-pair).
