CPSC2555 / CPSC 5555 / ITDS 5555 Interdisciplinary Special Topics: Chinese Contributions to Technology

The purpose of the “Chinese Contributions to Technology” program is to provide students the opportunity to experience first-hand the myriad of Chinese Contributions to Technology by active immersion in the culture and society in China. China is emerging as a leader in number of computing technologies including computer and social media games, mobile apps, anime & manga, robotics, and communications. With Lenova leading the industry in addition to most major technology multi-national companies, China has become a world leader in hardware and software.

 

This experience will be based at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology and Shanghai Open University with day trips to different technology, cultural, and historical sites in Beijing and Shanghai over 14 days, May 20 – June 4, 2014.
