The purpose
of the “Chinese Contributions to Technology” program is to provide students the
opportunity to experience first-hand the myriad of Chinese Contributions to
Technology by active immersion in the culture and society in China. China is
emerging as a leader in number of computing technologies including computer and
social media games, mobile apps, anime & manga, robotics, and communications.
With Lenova leading the industry in addition to most major technology
multi-national companies, China has become a world leader in hardware and
software.
This
experience will be based at Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology and
Shanghai Open University with day trips to different technology, cultural, and
historical sites in Beijing and Shanghai over 14 days, May 20 – June 4, 2014.
