Course Description
Satisfactory grade in this course indicates completion of the Field Test. Survey can be taken more than once. (S/U grading.)
Course Tasks
To earn a satisfactory grade in this course, you are required to complete the following:
- Apply for graduation (if you have not already). Follow the instructions at https://graduation.columbusstate.edu/apply-for-candidacy.php before Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
- Request a review of your graduation requirements (found in DegreeWorks) from your academic advisor (include your student number (your 909-number) in the request), and have your advisor email me (Dr. Carroll) that you are on track to graduate this semester. To be on-track, all requirements need to be met or in-progress (except for "Outcomes Assessment Exam"). Due Friday, September 9, 2022.
- Review the CSU Career Center resources for writing résumés and this helpful résumé guide. Then, have your professional résumé reviewed by the Career Center (currently being handled by the Academic Center for Tutoring). Submit the revised résumé to the respective Assignments folder in CougarVIEW by Friday, September 23, 2022.
- Review the CSU Career Center resources for developing your professional social network presence on LinkedIn. Then, join the Alumni and Friends of the TSYS School of Computer Science group by Friday, October 7, 2022.
- Take the University Outcomes Assessment Test (when notified by the Registrar's Office) (an email may be coming from qemailserver.com) around the later half of October.
- Take the Major Field Test (ICCP exams) (due Friday, November 4, 2022). You will get an email from me with instructions and login information about two weeks before the due date.
- Complete the TSYS School of Computer Science exit survey by Friday, November 11, 2022 (an email will be coming from Dr. Carroll).
- Attend the group exit interview with the School Chair, Dr. Shamim Khan, on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 2:30 – 3:30 PM in SCCT 451.

Course Communication

- Please allow 2 school days for a reply to your question (although I strive for a much quicker turn-around time).

CougarVIEW (D2L Brightspace) Accessibility Information

Emotional and Mental Health
Your emotional and mental health is very important and can affect your ability to meet your academic responsibility. Part and full time students have free access to mental health counseling through the CSU Counseling Center. If you begin to experience any sort of emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, or significant life events that are negatively impacting you, please seek help at the counseling center as quickly as possible.
