Build the Machine: Compare Logical Characters Under Mask
A Visible/Z Lesson
Compare Logical Under Mask (CLM) is an RS instruction that can be used to compare selected bytes in a register with consecutive bytes in memory.
1) Read about the details of this instruction in Principles of Operation. You should also examine the Java code in class CL where you can find an example of a logical compare operation. Complete the execute( ) method of the CLM class to provide the required functionality for the instruction.
2) Test your work by coding object code programs. Provide test code that sets all possible condition codes the instruction can generate.
