Our project was to complete the networking of West Las Vegas Middle School and High School.
West Las Vegas Middle School was networked in the Spring of 1997. The design was completed by Annabella Flores, a former Computer Science student.
West Las Vegas High School was partially networked in the Spring of 1998.
This design was completed by David Reinsvold, also a Computer Science student
that is trying to graduate from Wayne's Wrath. J/k!
So what do we have to do with all of this?
Our responsibilities included the
following:
West Middle School
1) Hub and patch panel in computer
lab need to be installed.
2) Inserts need to completed in
one wing of classrooms.
3) Survey of stations cable needs.
4) Check all connections for connectivity.
West High School
1) Counselor's office needs
raceway, outlet box, punch down, and
tested.
2) Room #6 (I think that's
the right number), Christine Rodriguez'
classroom, needs raceway, outlet
box, punch down, and tested.
3) The Annex needs the aerial
cable. Once that is done, the hubs need
to be put in, and then testing
done.
4) The Music Building needs
the aerial cable. Once that is done, the
hub needs to be put in and testing
done.
5) The hub still needs to
be put in at the (old) business lab. It is a
regular classroom now, since the
business lab was moved down to the new
Tech Center. Perhaps it just
needs an outlet box, punchdown, and
testing; however, there are all
kinds of wires sticking out in that
classroom in anticipation of a
hub.
6) And, of course, the connection
in the Library is still super, super
slow.
