Org. Chart displays a pictorial overview of an entire enterprise, complete with hierarchical organizational diagrams and who's who listings. An intuitive drill-down interface lets employees see detailed information on each department simply by double-clicking on a department manager. Multiple users can view any chart simultaneously. A pop-up window displays each employee's name, job title, email, and personal URL. It also lists a manager's title and links to intranet pages for the manager's department or group.

New positions or employees are automatically placed graphically in a chart, and support is included for user-customization via drag and drop.

  • Org. Chart enables security features using standard HTTP server techniques to limit changes to approved users only.
  • Pop-up dialogs offer error messages, warnings, information, questions, and custom dialogs.
  • Dialog boxes can be used to display values and get new values from users.
  • Manage graphical objects (called Gadgets) on a canvas, with support for mouse events including select, enter, leave, click, and drag and drop. Typical graphic objects like text and lines are included.
  • A number of Java packages and classes save time and effort when developing other Java applets and applications.
  • Subclass any client-server protocol from a TCP/IP-based client-server package.
  • Note: Navigator 3.0 can access this applet only on Windows 95, Windows NT, and Solaris platforms. Stay tuned for updates on client support.
  • Installation instructions and additional details are included with the download.

Org. Chart lets you create organizational diagrams that can be viewed by employees throughout the company. Information for each employee on the chart is stored on a form, which authorized users can easily update. This is particularly valuable for rapidly changing organizations.
