Warehouse Manager is an alternative to expensive dedicated applications and proprietary terminals for performing inventory receipts, issues, transfers, and counts. Any computer with Netscape Navigator can be used as a data-entry device, including radio frequency units. Warehouse Manager collects part number, location, quantity, and employee information. Part numbers and locations are fully validated against RDBMS or legacy systems, thereby reducing the possibility of error.

For queries, the forms-based design allows rapid switching between receipt, issue, and transfer functions. Results are displayed in an easy-to-read table format. The user can drill-down from part level to the transaction history information report, which displays receipt and issue history information, date, and the employee name who executed the transfer. The transaction history file is browsable as an independent function or during data input. Employees can easily reconcile inventory variances by using the transaction history query.
