Company Store offers a centralized online catalog of corporate-approved items for employee purchases, such as departmental office supplies, computer equipment, catering requests, and company T-shirts. By using a standard format for processing internal requests, Company Store increases productivity and helps companies track expenditures. To place a request, an employee fills out the store's online request form, including any special instructions or justification for any order. The live form is then routed automatically via Netscape Mail to an administrator for processing or, if required, to a manager for approval. The recipient can then approve or deny the request from within the email message. By setting up the entire order-fulfillment system on an intranet, this paperless process can continue for any internal transaction.
