GRADUATION INFORMATION
If you plan on graduating in the near future. . .
1. Complete an Application For Degree Form (available at Registrar's Office).
2. A letter, giving information about the graduation ceremonies, will be mailed to you by the Dean of Students during the final month of the Spring Semester.
3. You should visit the following offices before the middle of the final month of the term in which you plan to complete all degree work and request that you be cleared for graduation:
A. Library
B. Business Office (also pay your $30.00 graduation fee at that time)
C. Bookstore (for information about rental of cap and gown, and purchase of
announcements)
D. Financial Assistance Office (mandatory for all loan recipients)
E. Career Services
4. At the graduation ceremony, the President of the University, or a visiting dignitary, will hand you the diploma cover symbolizing your completion of degree work. The diploma cover will not contain a diploma insert. The Registrar is required to examine your transcript one final time, after the ceremony, when you final grades have been posted.
5. If the final grades confirm that you have completed all degree requirements, your degree will be posted on your transcript and a diploma will be ordered on your behalf. There is an anticipated diploma delivery time of approximately six weeks. As soon as the diplomas arrive, the Registrar will mail yours to you as you listed on your application for degree card.
6. If you should fail to meet final degree plan requirements, the Registrar will notify you of shortcomings, by mail, during the week following graduation ceremonies.
