1) Expert Systems Tutorial
Level 5 is an expert system shell. It can be found on the hard disks in the LH2 microcomputer lab in the folder CS101\Level5. To use Level5, follow the directions below:
To execute Level5, double-click the program PT. Level5 will display a menu of choices. Choose RUN a knowledge base. Level5 will then provide you with a list of Expert Systems. You may try any of them, but some of the more interesting ones are BLTS (Bank Loan Training System), EXTROVERT (used to determine if you are an extrovert), TESTIT (more extensive analysis like extrovert) and PASTA to determine what is your favorite kind of pasta.
The commands at the bottom of the screen correspond to the function keys at the top of the keyboard. While trying some of these sample expert systems, you might want to select the WHY? menu to look at the rule base that was used in building the expert system. Select Line of Reason in the WHY? menu.
2) Eliza
A program similar to Eliza, called Mindstar Interactor, can be found on the hard disks in the LH2 microcomputer lab in the folder CS101\Eliza-D. To use Mindstar Interactor, type HI to start the program and type BYE when you are finished.
3) AI-Tutor
An AI tutorial is available on the hard disks in the LH2 microcomputer lab in the folder CS101\AI-TUTOR. To use the AI-Tutor, type AI.
