Project 1 – What are we doing?

This project is designed for you to gain experience in learning to use Windows CE on the iPAQ Pocket PC through the use of the Calendar and Task List.

Part 1: Setting up the calendar.

a) Press the leftmost button on the bottom of your iPAQ

b) Find the calendar for today.

a. At the bottom of the screen, you can select a day calendar, a weekly calendar, a monthly calendar, or a yearly calendar.

b. You can go the previous or next item in the calendar using the arrows at the top of the calendar screen.

c. Once you have located today, press New in the bottom left corner and enter the appropriate information for Subject (Windows CE workshop), Location (LH2), Starts (8:30 a.m.), Ends ( 12 p.m.).

d. Press the Notes tab and enter a description of what you are doing today.

c) Press OK when finished.

d) Repeat this process for the other three days of the workshop (Dec. 15^th, Jan. 5^th, and Jan. 12^th).

e) Show one of us when you are finished.

Part 2: Setting up the Tasks for today’s workshop.

a) From the Start menu in the top left corner, select Tasks.

b) Select New from the bottom right corner of the Task screen.

c) Enter Subject, Starts, and Due for Project 1.

d) Enter a brief description for Notes.

e) Repeat this process for the other two projects for today.

f) Show one of us when you are finished.
