Connections

• Link between the client and the FTP server

• Limited or unlimited number of connections allowed

• Default: Limited to 1,000

• Specify fewer FTP connections than you would HTTP connections

  • A single FTP connection transferring a large file consumes more bandwidth and takes more time than an HTTP connection
