Grounding Continued
The grounding plate is used by the computer to interpret digital signals.
The bit will be read as a zero by the computer if the voltage as measured against the grounding plate is 0.5 volts or less.
If it is more than 0.5, it is read as a one.
You can see then that faulty grounding can interfere with the computer’s interpretation of data.
