AC current is the type of electricity delivered to homes and businesses and accessed through wall outlets.
Unlike the steady state of DC current, AC current changes polarity from positive to negative as it is generated.
Transformers convert high voltages to low voltages.
Typically a wall outlet has 3 wires; the hot lead wire, the neutral wire, and the safety ground wire.
