Dynamic Routing
Administrators tend to use dynamic routing in large networks because of the following advantages:
- Routes are automatically created
- Routes are automatically maintained
- Routes can be adapted by the routers to automatically compensate for network problems or heavy traffic
The disadvantages of dynamic routing are:
- Less administrative control since the routes are created automatically by the routers
- Increased network traffic in order to maintain routing tables
