CS421 - Advanced Data Structures and Algorithm Development - Week 1 Assignment

(Homework must be submitted electronically to summers_wayne@ColumbusState.edu or hand delivered to my mailbox by noon MST Friday each week.)
Late assignments will be subject to up to a 25% deduction in points per day. No credit will be given for assignments that are more than one week late.

  1. Write three small programs that will execute the code fragments in figure 1.1 on page 4. The fragments should be inside a loop that executes 1, 100, 1000, and 10,000 times. Time them using the build-in clock function in BC++ and output the times.

  2. Do the following problem at the end of chapter 1: 3

  3. Participate in the Collabra discussion group (CS421 on the server cs.nmhu.edu).
