Common Mode
Common mode problems involve the potential between the safety ground and neutral.
The potential between these wires should be zero because they are both grounded wires.
If the potential between these wires is greater than 0.5 volts, a common mode problem exists.
Usually common mode problems are due to a faulty grounding situation due to the safety ground.
