Connecting UTP to Wall Jack Continued
Once the wire is inserted into the pins on the back of the plug, you use a punch tool to punch down the wire into the back of the plug just as you would in a patch panel.
Once all of the wires have been properly punched into the connector, place the clips on the jack.
Ensure that they are tight so that they will properly protect the wiring. Place any excess cable inside the wall (flush mounting) or inside the connector box (surface mounting).
Next, snap or screw the faceplate into the box or bracket that you installed earlier.
