MDF Location
When working with multistory buildings, it is best to locate the MDF as close to the middle as possible.
As previously mentioned, in the multistory scenario there must be at least one IDF per floor because of EIA/TIA-569.
In the case of a LAN that spans multiple buildings, there will be at least one IDF per building per EIA/TIA-569.
In addition, there must be an additional IDF for each area up to 1000 square meters when the catchment area is greater than 1000 square meters or horizontal cabling exceeds 90 meters.
