Network Architecture
The term network architecture refers to a network's physical and logical topology.
This includes its physical structure or layout, the media used, the network access method, and the standards and protocols employed.
The most common network architectures include Ethernet, ARCNet, Token Ring, FDDI, and AppleTalk.
Network architectures are primarily defined at the Physical and Data Link layers of the OSI model.
The IEEE 802 standard previously mentioned, defines these architectures.
