Physical Topologies
The term topology can be confusing. A network’s physical topology is the physical layout of the networking components.
There is also a logical topology that is discussed later in the chapter.
The three most common topologies are the bus, star, and ring.
There are other physical topologies such as the mesh and tree, however, this chapter explores only the three mentioned above.
