Working with Routed Protocols
Packets of routed protocols such as IP and IPX contain Network layer addressing information.
This information allows user traffic to be directed from one network to another. These protocols also define the structure and use of fields within their packets.
ARP and RARP are also routed protocols that are part of the TCP/IP suite.
They are used to make sure the necessary MAC and IP addresses are available to hosts for sending data on a TCP/IP network.
