Image Creation: Drawn Images
Multimedia developers sometimes create images from scratch, much as an artist painting or drawing on canvas
The images may be bit-mapped
- the color or gray-scale for each pixel is defined and stored in a data matrix
Or the image may be vectorized
- each component in the image is defined mathematically, the definitions are stored, and the image is redrawn from these
