Sound Waves
Frequency — number of vibrations per second; determines the pitch
Amplitude—the intensity or volume of a heard sound, or the signal strength of an electronically transmitted sound
Harmonics — waves having frequencies related by arithmetic ratios; account for the different sounds of different instru-ments, even though they are playing the same note
