Myers’ Dimensions for Evaluating Interface-Development Tools (cont.)
Speed of resulting interface. How fast does the resulting interface operate?
Price. [Is the tool cost effective?]
Robustness and support. [How reliable is the resulting interface and how much support is provided by the tool's creator?] (Myers, 1993)
Naturally there are tradeoffs among these criteria. Generally, tools that have the most power (depth and breadth) are more difficult to use. The tools that are easiest to use might be the most efficient for the designer, but not if they cannot create the desired interfaces.
