Responsibilities include teaching computer science and computer information systems courses including courses in Networking, Internet, and Programming. Helped in the redesign of the computer science and computer information system curriculum including designing a large number of courses and several new programs. Conducted workshops on the Internet and Internet administration for faculty, high school teachers and students. Actively involved in outreach and recruitment programs as well as grant-writing. Supervise graduate students in the Networking Technology concentration of the Masters in Media Arts and Computer Science program as well as research conducted by undergraduate CS students. Obtained over $200,000 in software and hardware grants from industry. Responsible for organizing the networking all of the public schools (2 high schools, 2 middle schools and 9 elementary schools) in Las Vegas.

Responsibilities include the designing and teaching of the first two years of computer science courses. Conducted a graduate seminar in Artificial Intelligence for American and Malaysian colleagues. Appointed the Area Coordinator for Computer Science for 1989/90 and was requested to return to the position in 1991 and reassigned to the position again in 1993. Duties include the supervision of two-three other American faculty and up to ten Malaysian faculty and staff. Instrumental in training new Malaysian staff who are now recognized by Indiana University as Faculty-of-Record. Helped write several proposals for upgrade and replacement of computer hardware and software valued over $100,000. As the Area Coordinator, twice led a redesigning of the Computer Science curriculum including the development of new courses.
